I learned about the idea of a pidgin language and how it is a combination of broken languages. It is used within certain cultures within tight groups but it is also used between groups with nothing in common at all. One can be a master of literacy in his or her own culture but when they step outside of their culture they can be seen as completely illiterate. It is interesting how someone can work hard to become literate and lose it all together simply by traveling a few thousand miles. The pidgin language is a great bridge that can connect people from all around and bring them together.

The presentation was a unique and interesting way to display information. It told a story in a relaxed informal way but made it seem like I was there. I feel like it really involves the reader.
